Training/Lessons

 Austin Slam Baseball provides some of the best coaches in the area with many years dedicated to playing and teaching the game of baseball. Many of our coaches provide individual or group Hitting, Pitching and even Weight Training opportunities through Private Lessons. Below is some general Information on each coach that does private instruction and how you can contact them to set up private lessons or training.  

Austin Boggs

Austin Boggs was a four year varsity letterman at Connally High School in the Pflugerville ISD and received All-State awards for three of those years. He went on to play 3rd base for the Texas A&M Aggies. He was a Freshman All American and started every game for 3 years for the Aggies. Austin was a career .310 hitter in one of the toughest conferences in the country. Austin Provides Hitting lessons for all ages and really works well with the kids in all aspects of hitting.

Clint Mokry

Mokry earned four letters as a pitcher with the Texas Christian Horned Frogs from 2001-04. He was also a standout hurler on the scholastic level, leading the Taylor Ducks to the Class 3A Regional Finals while garnering all-state laurels in 1999 and 2000. Clint works with kids on Pitching mechanics, and the overall mental and physical side of Pitching.

Carlos Perez

Perez is a certified personal trainer. He currently is the strength and conditioning coach for the Concordia university baseball team. His numerous different types of workouts have a great blend of weights, core workouts and conditioning mixed in. He can set up workouts for specific positions in baseball. You will not go wrong working with perez no matter your needs. 

Drew Johnson

 Drew Attended The University of Texas in 2003-04 and played for Longhorn Head Coach Auggie Garrido. Drew also Attended Navarro Junior College in 2004-06 and played for Head Coach Skip Johnson. Drew Works with Pitchers on all aspects of Pitching. 

Scott Shepperd

 Scott Shepperd, a four-year letterwinner at Concordia, begins his fourth season as an assistant coach on the baseball staff at his alma mater in 2012. His main responsibilities include being the team's hitting coach and recruiting coordinator. He also works with the infielders and catchers and is the program's summer camp coordinator. Shepperd does hitting lessons with all ages and really works well with the kids.
