Allen and Becca Massey - Parents of Andrew Massey
July 19, 2009
I would like to thank Slam Baseball for giving Andrew the forum to showcase his talents over the past three years. I know that ultimately, the players themselves, must perform well enough on the diamond to get an opportunity to continue playing baseball at the next level. However, I am sure that Andrew would not have had as many of those opportunities if he had not been a part of an extremely talented team, in such a well-respected organization. Andrew's experiences with Slam have helped him develop as a player, and a young man, and will be of great benefit to him as he continues to pursue his dream by playing for Mark Johnson at Sam Houston State. Through the Slam organization, we have been fortunate to forge lifelong friendships with many players and their families from all over Central Texas, many of which posses loyalties that align with Georgetown High School's most bitter rivals. We will always have fond memories of our time with the Slam organization and the Slam Baseball Class of 2009.

I want to thank you and the Slam organization for every opportunity you have provided for Eric. I believe it was Slam that gave him the confidence to be the type of player he is becoming and has become. He would not have the recognition from the schools that are interested in him if not for Slam giving him the venue in which to play in front of as many people as possible. I think it says a lot about an organization like Slam when you see the Slam players on their high school teams always respecting the game and hustling on and off the field. You can always tell which ones they are. I can never thank you enough for all that has been done to this point. I know you always say it is still up to the players to perform and help themselves but I can't help to think that they perform for you as well because of all you do for them. Again Thank You!!!

Matt, Judy and I want to thank you for the many benefits we enjoyed through our association with SLAM. Matt received incredible coaching, preparation, and support from your program. You created the environment for a community of baseball focused families that enriched all of our lives. SLAM baseball was more than a cummitment of time and money, more than practice and ball games. SLAM was a community to belong to, to participate in, with common goals of developing fine young competitive athletes. We commend your dedication to youth. You pioneered select baseball in Austin and the Austin community has benefited from what you started.

Pat and I want to thank you and your coaching staff for helping get Drew ready for college baseball. I know for a fact that without your influence Drew would never have made it onto the Blinn baseball team. We always felt that Slam was a good training ground for Drew's baseball talents and the fact that he's playing baseball in Brenham, Texas is a testament to his grooming! Thanks again!

Tommy, just a note to let you know how much we (myself, Jane and Ryan) appreciate what you and your organization did for Ryan in helping him obtain his scholarship last year. Ryan received numerous offers from several Division I Universities, including most of the Big 12 schools, before choosing UT/San Antonio. Although he is a very good ballplayer, I do not believe he would have received the recognition he did if he had not participated in your Slam program those 4 years. There are some very good Select teams/programs in this area, but the BIG difference between theirs and yours is, in computer terms, what we call "SEO"-search engine optimization. You see, good baseball players and web sites have one thing in common - there are millions of them out there, but until someone does a good "SEO" on the site/player, no one knows they exist! Playing with Slam, Ryan was always at the top of the "Google" page any time we played in a tournament. The number of college and Major League scouts that SOUGHT YOU OUT to inquire about your players at all those tournaments we played over the years never ceased to amaze me! No Team, Coach or Select Organization in Central Texas does it like you do! Your Alumni page speaks well enough for itself. . . Thanks again for a "job well done", and wish you and all your future Hall of Famer's that play with your Slam organization the best of luck!!

Tommy- I just wanted to thank you and your organization for any part you guys have played in getting Todd's name out there. He is receiving a lot of interest from some big time programs. As communicated previously, this is not something we were that familiar with and often wondered how it would all play out. Of course he will need to do his part and show well this spring and summer but we really appreciate everything you guys are doing on his behalf. Thanks again!

Dear Tommy and Sammie (Joseph):
February 6, 2008 was a great night for me. I witnessed the recognition of two of my favorite baseball friends. You have enriched the lives of many young men. The bond of coach and athlete is a very special one. It was easy to understand that special relationship as grown men broke down when speaking of Jackie Moore. It is unlikely that any one of us will appear in the Forbes 400; yet there is no amount of money that could buy the love and respect that many, many players have for you. Congratulations.

I just want to thank you for letting me play for you, it was a great experience for me I will never forget. I tell my son who loves the game of baseball, that playing for you was the best time of my life. I would love for him to experience playing for you, traveling different places, out ot town, out of state, just to play baseball - wow! My coaching is a reflection of your coaching. Your work ethic in games and practice taught me to become a baseball coach and teacher just like you. Thank you coach for everything you have done for me and taught me. I will never forget you.

Tommy - I would like to thank you and the Slam Organization for all that you guys did for my son. It has been a pleasure to be a part of this program the last 5 years. I have personally seen my son mature and develop as a ball player in this program. I believe the experiences gained in your program will be a great benefit to him in life. Again I would like to thank you and your staff.
Thanks-
Greg Keyes
